Hmm… seems that since this guy was able to get published while he was suffering from writer’s block, I really have no excuse.

Actually, my excuse is that my brain is not cooperating with me....
Sorry for the silence. It’s been a rough two weeks. I’ll be back at it soon I hope.
In the meantime, this video is pretty awesome:

Subtitle: Why the *bleep* is my blog taking forever to load!?!!?
I did not know this, but apparently if a website loads too slowly it ceases to exist.
So slow it stopped existing
Now, I’m no theoretical particle physics expert but what I think is happening is that the Internets slowed down the bosons of my website so much that they stopped oscillating causing them to cease from existing in the four-dimensional world that we experience.
I’m pretty sure my bosons still exist somewhere in one of the other seven, non-observable dimensions. But I’m at a loss as to how to go about finding them.
I called into the ...
Today is Blog Action Day. This is the third year that I’ve participated.
Blog Action Day is an annual event where bloggers from around the world focus the power of their medium to address a global issue in the hopes of inspiring change. This year the event has attracted attention a lot of mainstream attention, even getting the White House to participate.
The theme for this year is: Water
To be honest, I have been struggling to know what to write.
Though I’m aware of the global water crisis and the many great organizations that are ...
Jon Acuff, founder of Stuff Christians Like is back at it leveraging the power of online community to save lives.
This time the challenge he’s set before the community of Christians who like stuff is:
The project is in partnership with SafeWorld Nexus, a non-profit that serves the people of Uganda and Haiti to promote community health, clean water, and protecting children.

Abraham Piper was kind enough to share some of my latest design work.
The design is a new logo for Mr. Piper’s 22 Words blog, a web site where, uh, people read words… I guess. I’m still a little unclear what he’s aiming for thematically.
A large inspiration for me was the new Gap logo, recently unveiled and also recently universally lambasted.
Another important influence was the concept of “books”.

I have a ton of respect for people who consistently crank out quality content. I’ve been trying to post something every weekday as an effort to increase my blogging rhythm. This is driven by the belief that frequent posting increases the value to the blog audience. It also increases SEO performance. All of which is aimed at solidifying and growing the audience that has started to develop around this blog.
Blah. blah. blah.
This post kind of feels like a cop-out, but there’s something to be said for commitment to a goal. Like I said, my goal is to post something every day. But, for whatever reason, I’m compelled to make this more than a “INSERT BLOG POST HERE” filler of space. So…
Lately I’ve been more and more amazed that people (meaning you, whoever you are) are reading my blog....
Dear Fellow SCL Reader:
As you may know, I’m a big fan of Jon Acuff… Big – but not too big. I mean I think he’s great and all but it’s not like he’s all I think about all the time. Wow, that sounds crazy.
I’m being serious though, I’m not some crazy Jay-Cuff super-fan all foaming at the mouth, flipping through my notebook of drawings I’ve done of Jon side-hugging a unicorn or anything like that. That’d be weird.
I can prove that’s not me: one time I gave Jon a ride to a Starbucks and I didn’t try to kidnap him or anything….
I mean I totally could have. But didn’t.
See, not crazy.
But I digress. As I was saying, I am a fan of Jon and I appreciate his writing at Stuff Christians Like...
